Frikkie is a Mama Taxi  ( written by the late Deni Brown) spinoff comic, which features the (mis)adventures of traffic officer Frikkie and his traffic department colleagues. 

Mama Taxi‘s lovable antagonist, now written by Dave Gomersal continues to be published in Afrikaans in Die Burger on Saturdays and can also be found speeding through the pages of the Drive Times in the Cape Times newspaper every Thursday morning.
